Went to school, learnt history and science,
Admired the sun that shines
Chased butterflies
Discovered truth amidst lies
Let’s call it life!
Felt the heart skip a beat
Followed someone with eager feet
Wrote special lines, dreamt of evenings together
Enjoyed every bit of love’s wonderful weather
Let’s call it life!
Approached work with dedication
Scaled new heights with determination
Went past some, looked upto a few at the top
Celebrated success, disliked when the show went flop
Saw ideas becoming a success and sometimes gather dust
Learnt that come what may, strive we must
Let’s call it life!
Saw young children fly kites
Engrossed eyes looking at the skies
Relived childhood moments
With a nostalgic sense
Let’s call it life!
Heard the conscience say – enjoy life as it unwraps special moments for us
The greenery, the friends, nice memories are all for us!
A mixed bag of joy and sorrow
Sometimes complete and at times hollow
Marked with opportunities and failures some
Full of hopeful songs to hum
Surprising and shocking as well
Unpredictable and hence enjoyable, I can tell
