You asked me if I loved you
came yes was my reply-
but with my tender heart I worry
about the tears in your eyes-
You asked me if I still wanted you
still desired your loving touch-
my reply was yes dear
you'll never know how much-
You asked me if I missed you
when you're not at home-
and without hesitation I replied
my loneliness won't leave me alone-
You asked me if I could go on
if we should ever part-
my reply was to you
it would surely break my heart-
You asked me what I would do
if my love you betrayed-
I told you in a whisper
I'd just turn and walk away-
You asked me if I would believe
if other's told me lies-
I told you I'd find the truth
hiding in your eyes-
You asked me if I'd tell you
that I'd fallen out of love
with you-
with a nervous smile I replied
that's something I'd never do.

ABOVE WHITE CLOUDS OF VELVET
INTO THE STARS ABOVE THE MOON
BUT DON'T YOU EVER DOUBT IT
RIDE WITH ME INTO THE NIGHT
ON THE WINGS OF ANGELS
BUT NEVER CAN YOU FORGET THE FLIGHT

Her Beauty

My pen hath not the ink,
Nor my mind the wit,
To capture here in verse by my hand,
Her Beauty I behold.

Light from an endless star filled sky,
Her eyes.
Countless summer's warm gentle breeze,
Her whisper.
A thousand crystal cool mountain streams,
Her kiss.
Miles of pure white sand beach,
Her smile.
Wave after wave of crashing crimson tide,
Her passion.
Ranges of majestic snow capped mountains,
Her strength.
Deepest and widest of dark blue oceans,
Her love.

All of Creation itself fails to compare,
In the entire depth of Universe,
No single being past or now resides,
Her Beauty I behold.

THE KEY
There are many locks
and with such are many keys
with most keys they are returned
but with one lock where one key
and only one key can unlock it
Once that key is given away
the key can never be returned
It becomes the sole possession of the recipient forever theirs
For this is no random key but is a special key
This key is not handed to one another lightly
but rather earned over time
For several years people work to earn this key
once given this key,
the one key that will forever more unlock
not a door to a house or a car but unlock
The person's heart forever
at that point in time when they give that key
they will then for the first time understand
True Love

THIS PAIN
Holding you in my arms, cursing my hands.
Regretting what I've done, knowing it will never mend.
Calling your name out loud, holding my head.
Remembering the things I've done, and all the things I said.
I know why you went away, you don't need to explain.
Not much left that I can say, but you don't need THIS PAIN.

Lying flat upon my back, face up to the sky.
Counting all the stars, for all the times I made you cry.
I loved you, I hurt you, I pushed you far away.
I love you, I want you, but you don't need THIS PAIN.
Holding in my hand, a tear stained photograph.
I'm the one who let you go, now I don't know where you're at.

FIRST LOVE

Drifting ... gently,
within the winds of time.
Having known her loves sweet caresses,
they are forever mine.

Her hands,
her lips,
did love inspire,
her every grace my heart did fire.

As her eyes begin to sparkle,
my emotions start to glow,
as if to suddenly realize,
a self I didn’t know.

Theres many kinds of love,
this we both agree,
But just the vibrance of her heart, .....
ads new mystery.

a world without me

That sharp edge of it pierced the pale skin
The veins secretly living inside were cut
And so the blood slowly started dripping
Drop by drop, it made the recipient damp
Be it the lap, be it the floor, be it a cloth
In this case, I think it was a piece of cotton

With each dropp that is leaving the vein
The pain too was leaving momentarily
Creating a feeling of relief from the pain
The pain that was not caused physically
That pain created insight and imagination
Of what it could be, a world without me
