Gazing out the window
Dark clouds are rolling in
Severe thunderstorm warnings
Beware of the danger within.
Lightning and hail is forecasted
Heavy rain is coming down
Wind is bending all the trees
Happy I'm safe n' sound.
Sitting alone in the dark
There's no electricity, it is out
Candles casting shadows
No one is milling about.
Listening to the storm talk
Telling me to beware
"Behold the strength of my wind
Come outside if you dare."
But indoors I will remain
Watch Mother Nature at her best
A light show I am witnessing
I am the storm's guest.
